Our founder, Miss Mia, is a Registered Hong Kong Teacher holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. She earned her Master's degree in Teaching Chinese as an International Language and her Bachelor's degree in Chinese from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).

She taught in local high schools for over 10 years, and some of her former students have already become high school Chinese teachers themselves. Her strong academic background and extensive teaching experience far exceed the industry average.

It entirely depends on your lifestyle and career goals. However, if your daily work involves frequent collaboration with Mainland clients and teams, or if you look at the broader Greater China market, Mandarin offers higher corporate utility. Many of our executive clients opt for our "Dual-Track Program" to master both simultaneously.

For Westerners, Cantonese pronunciation and listening are more challenging at the beginning due to its 6 tones and the gap between spoken and written forms. Mandarin, with its standardized grammar and only 4 tones, is relatively easier to start with.
However, Miss Mia's unique teaching methodology deconstructs both languages into simple, actionable formulas. As long as you master the correct Romanization and pronunciation patterns, you can easily break through the bottlenecks in a short period of time.
